Our approach is simple. We believe that health is among our most valuable possessions. And while we generally meet people after they’ve lost their health, our commitment is two-fold:

1 Relief Care

When many people seek care in our practice they have one goal: relief. So that’s where we start! During this initial stage of intensive care, we have several obligations:

Relief or wellness care… it’s your choice.

Uncover the underlying cause of the health problem

Suggest a care plan to produce the fastest results possible

Offer ways practice members can participate in their recovery

Explain the value of post-symptomatic wellness care

2. Wellness Care for Swindon

We encourage our practice members to achieve the highest levels of health they can. Through educational opportunities (like this website), we hope to communicate the value of ongoing chiropractic care such as manicure massage. Our desire is to see our practice members embrace the emerging wellness model of health that focuses on early detection, prevention and optimal well-being.

You’re the Boss

Regardless of your health goals, please understand that we see ourselves as mere servants. You’re the boss! It’s your body, your health and your future. Our job is to offer you the finest chiropractic care possible, and it’s up to you to decide how much of it you want.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the Treatment Painful?

No. Adjustment procedures are chosen for each patient taking into account patient comfort, the condition and state of progress. Occasionally adjustments of a Chronic or severe problem may cause transient mild discomfort, but this does not persist. The relief following a successful adjustment is often remarkable.

Am I too old?

Age really is no barrier! Adjustment is safe for people of any age; procedures differ for the very young, those with bone disease such as Osteoporosis and the elderly.

How many sessions will I need?

This will depend on your particular condition, its severity and your response to treatment.

Some general examples are:

3-6 treatments for a simple case of low back pain that you have had for only a short period of time.

6-12 treatments for a long-standing (Chronic) condition. Follow-up sessions at regular intervals may be necessary to maintain improvement.

What happens at the end of the treatment?

At the conclusion of a course of treatment many of our patients choose to attend the Clinic periodically in much the same way as they do with the Dentist.

Periodic visits can help maintain what has been achieved through treatment and/or help prevent new problems arising. The decision to continue with Maintenance Care is very much a personal one and is not obligatory.

Is Chiropractic Safe?

Chiropractic is remarkably safe when carried out by a suitably qualified practitioner. In fact a number of studies have shown that Chiropractic treatment is significantly safer then common alternatives such as long-term use of pain killers, anti-inflammatory medication or surgery.

Can I help myself as well?

Absolutely! Recent research has indicated that patients who perform Rehabilitative exercises in conjunction with their Chiropractic treatment improve more quickly than those who do not. During your treatment we will instruct you on what exercise will help your condition.

Can Chiropractic help people with Arthritis?

Yes. One of the consequences of ordinary Osteoarthritis or Spondylosis is that the joints become stiff and painful. If this stiffness is allowed to advance unchecked it can be very disabling. By improving the mobility of the joints Chiropractic treatment can minimise the disability of these disorders.

Will I need x-rays?

This depends on the nature of the case. It is the policy of the Clinic to take x-ray only when it is judged clinically necessary.
